Moms Raising Kings: We have questions

Photography by Art Jones #DreamFactory

I am the mother of a young king who created the MoorBrothers.com blog and Moor Brothers FB page. I did so for a couple of reasons. One reason is for the sake of mothers raising Black boys.

Black men – Kings, we know that God has a phenomenal plan and purpose for our men. If it were not so, the attack through each phase of a Black man’s life would not be so fierce.

As moms of young kings we want to know from your point of view what it takes to raise our sons to be the best that God has intended for them. What do boys, specifically our Black boys need? How and what does he think? What drives a little boy to do what he does? What drives a big boy, and what drives a teenager to do what he does? Moms have so many questions that are often wrapped in apprehension and stoked by our faith. So, we’re coming to you who have been boys and are now men. Please talk. We’re listening.

Also, I don’t mind if you share my FB page and MoorBrothers. blog with moms who you know have questions too. Please share. Us moms are here only to hear what you have to say. Once again, we’re listening.

Grace & Peace,
Mother of a young king
