Black Manhood from the Black Man’s Perspective

Available on Amazon.com

It’s finally here! My newest and long awaited book ‘Man-U-Script…the ethos of manhood’ has been published and is now available on amazon.

The book is a compilation of Black men (8 of which are incarcerated) who share their hearts and insight on manhood and their individual experience of being a Black man in America, and manhood God’s way.

The impetus behind this book project was that I needed to know how to raise my son into manhood according to God’s plan for his life. The project started out for my sole benefit but quickly grew into a book that would benefit other moms of boys as well as to Black men.

A snippet from the forward written by Freddie Williams:

Black man, as you read this profound body of work, I encourage you to have your mind and heart open. Whether you follow Jesus Christ, Elijah Muhammad, Noble Drew Ali, Clarence 13X, or the prophet Muhammad; whether you study the Bible, the Qur’an, or 120; whether you are beginning at the book of Genesis, Al Fatiha, or Supreme Mathematics; are quoting John 3:16, the 15th Ayat of Surah, or the knowledge degree in the 1-14; there is a thread that binds us. Whether you are in Bed Stuyor Baltimore, Compton or Chicago, Magnolia Projects or Marcy, we need a clear understanding that the survival of our nation, of our people is wholly contingent on our ability to protect, position, and prosper the next generation.

  1. Some genuinely good articles on this web site, regards for contribution. Gratitude is merely the secret hope of further favors. by La Rochefoucauld. Lissa Galen Jobey

  2. After completion, I walked away feeling more connected to men and understanding that they need that nurturing interaction just as us women do. This was a great format to hold men accountable. Making it clear that no matter what your upbringing or circumstance may be or was , you have the tools to be better from within. Unfortunately that’s the battle. Most importantly, I learned that there are great men out here and they have a story. They don’t get praised much but Man•U•Script did an awesome job at highlighting their journey.
